I. Introduction to the Postdoctoral Research Station in Mathematics

The Mathematics discipline boasts a Postdoctoral Research Station, a First-Class Discipline Doctoral Program, a First-Class Discipline Master's Program, and undergraduate programs (all designated as first-class undergraduate program construction sites, including the first batch of national first-class undergraduate program construction sites). It has established a complete talent cultivation system encompassing Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral levels. The Mathematics discipline entered the top 1% globally in ESI rankings in March 2019 and was rated Grade B in both the 4th and 5th National Disciplinary Assessments.

The discipline has a distinguished history, having compiled the first mathematical reference book of New China, Mathematical Handbook, and nurturing outstanding scholars such as recipients of the State Natural Science Award, national-level high-level talents, and foreign academicians of the Russian Academy of Engineering. Currently, the discipline is home to numerous national and provincial-level distinguished talents, as well as multiple scholars listed among the world's top 2% scientists (in the "Lifetime Achievement" category). It has been honored with over a dozen provincial and ministerial-level natural science and science and technology awards. Faculty members consistently publish academic papers in prestigious journals such as Advances in Mathematics, Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, and Journal of Functional Analysis, including numerous ESI Highly Cited Papers.

Among the graduates, some have published academic papers as first authors in Science within 10 years of obtaining their Bachelor's degrees (with the paper's attention ranking in the top 0.5‰ of over 60,000 papers published in Science); others have received have received the "Science Exploration Award," "DAMO Qingcheng Award," national talent titles or honors, or delivered 45-minute invited reports at the International Congress of Mathematicians. Undergraduate mathematics students have won honors such as the Honorable Mention in the Shing-Tung Yau Undergraduate Mathematics Competition.

The current main research directions include: Complex Analysis, Real Analysis, Integrable Systems and their Applications, Analytic Number Theory; Algebra, Fractal Geometry, Differential Equations and their Applications; Scientific and Engineering Computing; Optimization Theory and Methods; Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics; Mathematics-Mining-Energy interdisciplinary fields, etc.

The Postdoctoral Research Station in Mathematics intends to recruit postdoctoral researchers in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, and related disciplines.
